Variedades locales de hortalizas y legumbres como cultivos alternativos / Local varieties of vegetables and legumes as alternative crops
La investigadora del CITA y miembro de PROVESOS Dra. Cristina Mallor participó el pasado 12 de marzo en la “I Jornada del Agua y la Agricultura. Presente y futuro: modernización y nuevos cultivos, sostenibilidad y desarrollo” celebrada en Tarazona (Zaragoza, España) y organizada por la Junta Central de Usuarios del Rio Queiles y el Embalse de Val. Su presentación trató sobre las variedades locales de hortalizas y legumbres como cultivos alternativos. En la ponencia se explicó el valor de las hortalizas y legumbres autóctonas, el estado de la diversidad en Aragón y su conservación en el Banco de Germoplasma Hortícola, haciendo referencia a la colección que se conserva en el banco procedente de la Comarca de Tarazona y Moncayo, así como de otras localidades navarras regadas por el río Queiles.

The researcher of the CITA and member of PROVESOS Dr. Cristina Mallor participated on March 12 in the "I Conference on Water and Agriculture. Present and future: modernization and new crops, sustainability and development " held in Tarazona (Zaragoza, Spain) and organized by the Central Board of Users of the Queiles River and the Val Reservoir. His presentation dealt with the local varieties of vegetables and legumes as alternative crops. The paper explained the value of native vegetables and legumes, the state of diversity in Aragon and its conservation in the Horticultural Germplasm Bank, making reference to the collection that is kept in the bank from the Comarca of Tarazona and Moncayo , as well as other Navarran towns irrigated by the Queiles River.
